During Spectrum Sports Ohio Football Coverage, Two Exceptional Athletes Will Receive a $500 Award
New York, NY – Spectrum Networks today announced it will launch the Spectrum Scholar Athlete of the Week program on Friday, August 24 to recognize local varsity level players who excel in academics, athletics and community service in Ohio.
Each week, during Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) coverage on Spectrum Sports Ohio, two local athletes will be recognized as a Spectrum Scholar Athlete of the Week and receive a $500 award. In total, 20 high school seniors will receive awards for their achievements as part of the 2018-2019 Spectrum Scholar Athlete program. The program will run through October 26.
Spectrum Sports Ohio will have live coverage of the top high school football games across Ohio each Friday night at 7:00 PM on channel 311, and on channel 510 for former Insight customers. “High School Blitz” will feature live look-ins to the biggest and best matchups, including live coverage of the marquee “OHSAA Game of the Week.” The Friday night lineup will kick off on August 24 with Findlay versus Hilliard Bradley, exclusively for Spectrum customers, in Central Ohio. Each week, Spectrum Sports will post the schedule for a live high school football marquee game here.
“High School Blitz” will also include coverage of the Spectrum Sports Scholar Athlete, highlights and analysis of regular season matchups, conference playoffs and state tournament games across Ohio.
